Three weeks old, and suddenly they are real little dogs. They are still a bit wobbly on their paws, but they walk! The first bit of floor outside the sleeping corner is being busily explored.
More space and first meals
Joost has extended the whelping box with a play corner with different surfaces: a blanket, a rubber mat and a piece of artificial grass. This week the puppies also had their first taste of softened puppy food. Most of it still ends up on their noses.
Their hearing is coming along too: they no longer startle at sounds and come to have a look when we walk into the room.
Next week
